Recently saw Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant, Port of Call. Originally thought this was a remakeof the 1992 film of the same title featuring Harvey Keitel. Not the case. The only thing is common between the two is they both feature the story of a bad cop using drugs. Here's Werner Herzog Talking about the iguana scene.

Several groups are pushing to renew the slaughter of horses in the U.S. and are pushing Congress to introduce a bill to allow the U.S. Department of Agriculture to resume inspecting horse meat for human consumption.

Most people assume that the term slaughter means the animal is killed before they skinned, castrated, sliced, etc. To anyone that's ever seen footage from inside a slaughterhouse it's pretty clear that this is not the case. the animals pretty much suffer all the way through. I'd encourage anyone to watch the video in this post and see if you still feel the same about what you eat.

Canon G7 and the CHDK firmware

Just installed the chdk firmware for my Canon G7 and I feel like I have a whole new Camera. The firmware upgrade offers the ability to shoot in raw format. Here's a few shots I took and processed using Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop.
