Governor Quinn, Blagojevich’s long awaited replacement has reopened 7 State parks which were closed due to “budget cuts” by former governor Blagojejdick. I am pretty excited about this. As a tax payer I enjoy using the parks and was heartbroken when I heard of their closing. Read the Press Release on the IDNR Site

On Tuesday September 24th, Senate met and voted to continue funding for the parks. Now the bill will go back to the governor for him to decide whether or not to continue funding or not.
